How to use ~ㄹ래요/~을래요.(Informal form of will/shall)

Today's lesson is ~ㄹ래요/~을래요.(Informal form of will/shall)

We attach the pattern ‘-(으)ㄹ래요',  to a verb stem to express the speaker’s intention or to ask the listener’s intention. This expression is used in an informal or familiar way.

🍀We can use it as an ending to a future tense to state an immediate decision to do(or not do) something in the nearest future.

 ex:
이 라면이 너무 매워서 안먹을래요.
(This ramyun is very spicy so I will not eat it.)

오늘은 좀 피곤해서 그냥 집에서 쉴래요.
(I am quite tired today so I will just take a rest at home.)

🍀~ㄹ래요 is added to a verb stem without a 받침(consonant at the lower part of a syllable.)

ex:
          오늘 공부할래요.
(I shall study today./I will study today.)

= 공부하다 is the base form meaning "to study". To add this ending, you must take off the "-다" ending and add ~ㄹ래요.  ~ㄹ will become the 받침 of -하.
          ( 공부하   + ㄹ래요   = 공부할래요.)

🍀~을래요 is added to a verb stem with a 받침

ex:
야체 잘 안먹지만, 배가 고파서그냥 먹을래요.
(I don't eat vegetables that well but I am hungry so I will eat it.)

=먹다 is the base form meaning "to eat". To add this ending, you must take off the "-다" ending and add ~을래요.  먹~ has a 받침 so another 받침is not necessary.
           (먹 + 을래요   = 먹을래요.)

🍀We can also use it as an ending to ask someone about what he/she will be doing in the future or to persuade someone in a questioning manner.
 ex:

이제 뭐 할래요?
(What shall we do now?)
오늘도 한잔 할래요?
(Shall we  also have a drink today?)

주말에 나랑 영화를 볼래요?
(Will you watch a movie with me this weekend?)
